Ayurveda has a number of mysterious facts you come across daily in your lives but you don't get to know about it! Well, the beauty of this beautiful science of Ayurveda is that you get to know more about this marvellous relationship between panchbhautika (made up of the five basic elements) body and the panchbhautika world, only when you realise that you are nothing but a peaceful soul.

All the physiological actions our body performs can be defined by Ayurveda linked with different doshas, dhaatu and agni (digestive power). Right from the moment you wake up , do your daily stuffs like eat, poop, run, laugh, and again back to the world of dreams, all has something to do with your well being.

13 natural urges or 'Vegas' are classified by Ayurveda as 'Non-suppresible urges' or 'Adharaniya vega', which are somehow related to any of the physiological activities of the body, suppressing which might invite a number of pathological harms to the healthy body and mentioned in Charak Samhita as well and Ashtang Hridaya (the ancient texts of Ayurvedic Science).

So, here is the list of 13 natural urges and their health hazards.

  1. Suppression of urge for micturition

Attention peeps! All you in a regular habit of delaying your wee-wee just because you have to head towards something very important or you are a busy watching the web series so excitingly that you can't even miss one moment of the show. Well, this habit may get you in trouble like it may initiate the pain in your bladder, penis, may cause dysuria , headache, etc.

  1. Suppression of urge for defecation

If you have been controlling the urge of shit till date, stop it now! You have been creating trouble for your lower body parts, causing obstructions of flatus and faeces, cramps in calf muscles, and many more. So, take that shit out of you timely, man!

  1. Suppression of urge for ejaculation

If you are in a regular practice of not busting the nut, you will soon catch yourself in a big trouble! This if you practice for long may lead to pain in your private parts, cardiac regions and even causes retention of urine. So, for the next time, shoot your cork!

Ah! This natural urge is somewhat hilarious but very important for your own health, not releasing which can create obstruction of flatus, urine and faeces, exhaustion and pain. So, whenever you feel like, pop off!

Many of the times we come across the situations when we feel like to puke out, but we can't due to many reasons, e.g., we might be travelling or in an important event. This habit if repeated for a lot much times may lead to physiological disturbances in your body like itching, anorexia, oedema, anemia, fever, dermatosis, nausea and erysipelas.   1. Suppression of urge for sternutation

If you just sneezed, something was probably irritating or tickling the inside of your nose. Sneezing, also called sternutation, is your body's way of removing an irritation from your nose. It is a term referred to the stretching and stiffening of the trunk and extremities, often accompanied by yawning, to arouse the body when fatigued or drowsy. Any gym freak here? Well, athletes or any person who workout heavily may gasp and breathe deep to get enough air to calm down the accelerated heart beat. But what if one has the habit of not taking any break in between the heavy exercise and continue doing it for long. It will lead to have him abdominal distension, stupor and many if the heart diseases.
