7 Days Slower, a New View of Life

Everything in modern life feels like a race — between deadlines, emails, social media, and that constant pressure to keep up. One day, I asked myself: What would happen if I just... stopped? Not forever. Just for a while. So I tried living slowly for 7 days.

Day 1: I Turned Off All Notifications

I deleted Instagram and TikTok, turned off all push alerts. The first few hours felt weird, like I had dropped off the planet. But then something unexpected happened — I noticed the sky. I tasted my coffee. I breathed deeper.

Day 3: I Did Nothing

I spent an entire afternoon just watching the rain fall. No phone. No music. No to-do list. It was... awkward. Then peaceful. It reminded me that I don’t always need to be doing something to be okay.

Day 5: I Wrote My Feelings Down

I started journaling each night — not to be poetic, just to be honest. Writing helped me realize what was draining me, what I missed, and how little time I’d been giving myself lately.

Day 7: Living Slowly Is Not Stopping Life

Living slowly doesn’t mean quitting. It means being aware. It means reclaiming quiet moments. It means being present in a hug, in a song, in a meal, without rushing through it like a checklist.

Among Us

Final Thoughts:

I won’t live slowly forever. But these 7 days gave me something valuable — a quieter voice inside me that says, “You don’t need to run all the time.” Maybe you can try it too. Just once. It might change everything.

Have you ever tried slowing down — even just for a day? What did it feel like for you?
I’d love to hear your story in the comments.
